Do-it-yourself remedies for plantar warts

Plantar warts: lemon, vinegar ... here are some very effective natural remedies in the treatment of these annoying skin formations.

Plantar warts are skin growths caused by the hand papilloma virus (HPV); they form on the feet and in particular where greater pressure is exerted: on the sole, heel or tip of the foot.

It is a rather widespread disorder; they are generally not a health problem. Sometimes they tend to fade on their own even without resorting to treatment. However, plantar warts can cause discomfort or pain. In this case we can resort to do-it-yourself treatments; in this regard, we want to illustrate the benefits of using apple cider vinegar and lemon against plantar warts.

Remedies for plantar warts

Apple cider vinegar

For this treatment it is necessary to obtain pure, untreated organic apple cider vinegar, obtained directly from the fermentation of the fruit.
It is different from what is used in the kitchen; maintains its therapeutic properties unaltered, which allows for topical use.

The therapeutic action of apple cider vinegar against plantar warts is based on the following principles:
Apple cider vinegar contains malic acid, so it is antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral, therefore indicated to treat infections and viruses such as HPV or human papilloma. It also restores the pH

Another fact that should not be underestimated is its high content of alpha hydroxyadic acids, able to heal skin injured or infected with a virus, such as HPV.

Lemon

Lemon juice is also very effective in treating plantar warts. This is due to the acidic components of lemon, with their antiviral, antifungal and antibacterial properties.
To have a synergistic result, it is good to combine lemon with apple cider vinegar which must be natural and organic as we have already mentioned.

How to do the treatment for plantar warts

It should be noted that the treatment lasts on average two weeks. During this period, it is essential to be constant and take care of your hygiene, because, in general, the virus that causes them is contagious.

  1. After washing and drying your feet thoroughly, apply a cotton ball moistened with apple cider vinegar to the plantar wart
  2. Leave it to soak well and leave for about 20 minutes

Application of lemon

  1. After thoroughly moistening the wart with vinegar, apply a thin slice of lemon and let its active ingredients come into contact with the infected area
  2. Leave about 5 minutes then dry the sole of the foot well
  3. Finish the treatment by applying tea tree oil.

Tea tree oil is an excellent antibacterial, ideal for treating warts and preventing them from spreading. If you wish, another preventive option is to pour a few drops of this oil into the inside of the shoes.

This operation must be performed every day, morning and evening but the evening treatment is a little different:

  1. after applying apple cider vinegar on the plantar wart with a moistened swab, put the lemon slice on the affected area, keeping it still with a plaster or tape
  2. Wear a sock and leave it on overnight.

An alternative to lemon is a clove of garlic. It is also an excellent antibacterial and antifungal, it is also often used to combat annoying plantar warts.

Plantar warts treatment that comes from Chinese medicine
