How to make homemade vinyl glue

To produce thehomemade vinyl glueyou only need 3 easy-to-find ingredients. Just go to the supermarket, the food department and buy white wine vinegar and corn starch. The ingredients for making vinyl glue at home are:

  • 1 glass of water
  • 1 tablespoon of white wine vinegar
  • half a glass of cornstarch

Here's how to go about getting somehomemade vinyl gluewhich is not bad for the skin and is safe for children to play.

  • 1) Take two containers, in the first one mix a tablespoon of water taken from the glass and a tablespoon of white wine vinegar. In the second container, mix the rest of the water and a glass half full of cornstarch.
  • 2) Carefully and slowly mix the contents of the two compounds, especially that of the container with corn starch. Do not rush and mix until the two ingredients are completely combined, water and starch will have to create a smooth homogeneous paste.
  • 3) In a saucepan, heat the water and vinegar, stir and gradually add the mixture containing water and starch gradually.
  • 4) Over moderate heat, bring to a boil. Turn off the stove as soon as it boils but continue stirring.
  • 5) Let yours coolvinyl gluehomemade and, to keep it, close it in airtight glass jars.

Warning!
Homemade vinyl glue is made with organic materials that can easily biodegrade at high temperatures! Keep theDIY vinyl gluein the refrigerator, in the lower part (the one for vegetables). The DIY vinyl glue can be stored for about ten days but given the ease of preparation, it is possible to prepare it often and in small quantities.

If you don't need very strong glue, you can make onehomemade gluestarting from the flour. If the supports you need to glue are paper only (paper on paper), you can use a simple mixture of 00 flour mixed with water.

The proportions to be respected are 1 to 0.50: a glass of water for every half glass of flour. For home-made jobs for very young children, DIY glue is the safest alternative. Furthermore, homemade glue made from 00 flour does not require cooking but only a patient and long stirring.
