DIY hand scrub: this natural sugar-based recipe effectively eliminates dead cells, restoring a youthful and velvety appearance to the skin.
Hands are a part of the body that we often overlook in our beauty routine. Not everyone knows that the skin on the hands is rather delicate and, unfortunately, tends to be damaged more easily than other areas of the body. However, we can take care of it with a delicate DIY scrub.
Direct exposure to the sun's rays, toxins, the chemical compounds of many products, continuous contact with water, can alter the normal pH of the skin causing dryness and the appearance of unsightly and annoying cuticles. The skin around the nails, in fact, tends to thicken giving rise to cuticles which in addition to being painful, can bleed and give rise to something more serious.
To give the hands softness and relief, we can apply an exfoliating product at least once a week without obviously neglecting the cleansing of dead and dry skin by applying an excellent, preferably natural, moisturizer. Fortunately, nature offers several ingredients to nourish, hydrate and soften the skin of the hands. There are in fact alternatives to prepare at home; it will be enough to combine some natural ingredients.
Sugar-based DIY hand scrub
To remove dead cells and other impurities that cause blemishes, we will show you a really effective sugar-based recipe. Even though it is an ingredient used in gastronomic recipes, it has been highly appreciated in natural cosmetics for many decades. The abrasive action and moisturizing power of sugar are able to eliminate dead skin and other impurities that remain on the surface of the hands. The pores are also deeply cleaned, removing the greasy residues that cause blackheads and pimples.
After application, the skin will be softer, revitalized and less prone to developing spots and other imperfections. Do not overlook the fact that it is a product accessible to everyone, in fact it is cheap and there are different varieties on the market. This exfoliating hand scrub can also be used for dry areas such as elbows and knees.
